We all had our favorite TV shows and cartoons or story books growing up.
Below are a few links to some of my all time favorites: TV, toons, and toys.

Curious George was a good little monkey, he had just one fault... He was too curious!

I am still looking for a good page dedicated to the original Captain Kangaroo. Here is an unofficial site.   If you know of any others that capture the essence of the true Captain and his show, send me the link, PLEASE!

Are there any of us who didn't watch Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood when we were little? It will ALWAYS be one of my favorites from childhood. In this day when even children's programming has become increasingly more about violence and less about morals and manners, it is refreshing to know that Mr. Rogers will live on longer than any of these programs. On Thursday, February 27, 2003, Fred Rogers lost his battle with stomach cancer, but his simple message will live on forever.  God Bless Mr. Rogers!

I always loved Tony the Tiger cereal and commercials. They're G-r-r-r-reat!

Many of the TV commercial characters and mascots that you remember from your youth can be found at the TV Acres Advertising page.

If you grew up at all through the 70's, surely you can appreciate The Weird World of Sid & Marty Krofft. You remember... H.R. Pufnstuf, Dr. Shrinker, and Land of the Lost? I used to have a link to the theme songs from these "classics," but that link went dead. :-(

Another television show from that era was The Banana Splits. Banana Splits According to Wingnut gives a good summary of the show. Somewhere at my parents' house I'm sure there is still a dusty copy of the "We're the Banana Splits" album.

You might remember them by one name and others may be familiar with another. Regardless, Our Gang / The Little Rascals is "otay" in my book. These classics were filmed more than a generation or two before my own, but the escapades these kids got into can cross any time barriers and still get lots of laughs.

And who could ever forget The New Zoo Revue? This link has also gone dead.

Or if you have another favorite Saturday morning show from the 50's 60's 70's or 80's go to Retroland. THE ABSOLUTE BEST SITE ON THE NET if you miss those old cartoons and variety shows that you enjoyed so much as a kid. Relive your childhood and reminisce about the days when you could sit in your pajamas with a bowl of cereal in front of the TV and watch those great Saturday morning shows.

TV Party is another great site for nostalgic television.

Toon Tracker is the finder of lost cartoons. If it was animated and on television, chances are this site has a memento of it.

"You knocked my block off!" One of my favorite games growing up was Rock'em Sock'em Robots. I never had one of my own, so I always had to go a few houses down the street to play at a friend's house. And MY robot could never even get one punch off before his neck sprung up -- much to the glee of my opponent. I don't know how many times I stormed away angry and vowed NEVER to play with him again, but the power of *Rock'em Sock'em* always drew me back!

Do you remember View-Masters? When I wasn't using it as a frisbee, I used to love to view one particular reel from the Hawaii-Five-O series (don't ask why). There was one frame in particular I remember where Jack Lord's character was attempting to diffuse a bomb. For some reason I always thought that was the coolest View-Master reel ever made... The View-Master Ultimate Reel List is just what is says. The ultimate list of view-master reels, plus more background information and the history behind View-Masters. An interesting and informative site if you had one of these growing up.

You can also find a virtual Etch-A-Sketch online.

Visit the Magical World of ShrinkyDinks to relive this gem of the 70's!

FunEscapes (was) a site where you can play some of those great coin-op arcade games from the 80's for free! Pac-man, Space Invaders, Asteroids, and Defender just to name a few.
